This Privacy Policy explains how RIDE BUYERS INC, operating as RideBuyers ("RideBuyers", "we", "us" or "our"), collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information through ridebuyers.ca and our related inquiry and referral services.

Our vehicle-sale service helps you seek a purchase offer from a dealer. The purchasing dealer may be the dealership identified on our website as Benchmark Automotive or another selected dealer partner, including affiliated or independent dealerships. A dealer receiving your request may use your information to evaluate your vehicle and follow up with you about a potential purchase.

Our website also provides access to third-party vehicle-financing services. This policy covers our handling of your information. Independent dealers and financing providers are responsible for their own handling of information under their privacy policies and applicable law.

Depending on how you use our services, we may collect:

• Contact and request information, such as your name, email address, phone number, location, preferred contact method and the details of your inquiry.
• Vehicle information, such as make, model, year, VIN, licence plate and registration province, mileage, condition, photos, ownership or authority to sell, loan or lease status, and your expected selling timeline. If documents are needed later, we request information relevant to the particular appraisal or transaction.
• Communications and service records, such as messages, appointments, offers, referral history, support requests and, where applicable with appropriate notice or consent, call recordings and transcripts.
• Consent and preference records, including the wording and version presented to you, your choices, the date and time, source form, and information reasonably needed to demonstrate or honour those choices.
• Website information, such as IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, referral source and interactions with our website, collected through server logs, cookies or similar technologies.

We collect information directly from you and from service providers involved in operating our website and services. A dealer or financing partner may also provide information about the status or outcome of your referral, such as whether contact was made or a transaction occurred, where permitted and consistent with the applicable notices and consent.

Never send banking passwords or online banking login credentials to RideBuyers. Do not send identification documents, a Social Insurance Number or other sensitive financial information through a general inquiry or vehicle-sale form. If such information is necessary for a specific service, we or the relevant provider will identify an appropriate process. Do not provide another person's information unless you have authority to do so.

We use personal information to respond to your request; assess vehicle details; identify suitable dealer partners; seek purchase offers; coordinate contact, inspections and appointments; and support the service you requested.

We also use relevant information to administer referrals and any related compensation, maintain service and consent records, improve our website and customer support, protect against fraud and misuse, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations.

We send promotional communications only with the consent or other legal basis required for the particular communication.

When you submit a vehicle-sale request after reviewing the form notice, you ask us to seek an offer through our dealer network. For this purpose, we may disclose your contact details, location, vehicle details and relevant selling preferences to one or more selected dealer partners. These may include our affiliated dealership and independent dealerships.

The receiving dealer may evaluate your vehicle, request relevant follow-up information, contact you about your sale request and, if you choose to proceed, arrange an inspection and purchase transaction. Dealer matching and this related disclosure are part of the service you request. If you do not want us to share the information needed for that referral, we may be unable to provide that service.

Dealers may pay RideBuyers for receiving the request information described above or for a resulting transaction.

Independent dealers are separate businesses, not merely service providers acting on our instructions. Their own privacy policies also apply to their independent handling of your information. You can contact us to ask which dealers received your request.

Our Get Pre Approved service links to a third-party financing form branded Loans Canada, delivered through CreditMarketing's platform. Information you submit through that form is handled by the provider under its privacy notices and terms.

RideBuyers acts as a referral source and may receive compensation. We may collect website and referral information and receive referral status or outcome information from the provider where permitted.

Please review the provider's disclosures before submitting financial information; do not assume a pre-approval process has no effect on your credit score.

We use service providers for functions such as website hosting, forms, CRM, communications, scheduling, storage, analytics and security. These providers may process information on our behalf to supply those services, subject to appropriate contractual and security requirements.

We may disclose relevant information to professional advisers, insurers or authorities when reasonably necessary for legal advice, legal obligations, fraud prevention, protection of rights or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, as permitted by law.

Information may be disclosed in connection with a proposed or completed business transaction, such as an acquisition or reorganization, subject to applicable legal requirements and safeguards.

We and the dealer handling your request may contact you by phone, email or text about your request. RideBuyers may use automated calling technology in accordance with applicable law.

You can stop RideBuyers texts by replying STOP, ask for help by replying HELP, or contact info@ridebuyers.ca. For promotional emails, use the unsubscribe link. You can also ask us to stop calls or other communications. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply.

We maintain the records needed to honour communication preferences and respect your withdrawal for the affected communications. Withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully completed or prevent recordkeeping and notices required by law. We will not resume RideBuyers texts after an opt-out unless you opt in again. Where a dealer or financing provider manages its own communications, contact it directly to change its preferences; you may also contact us for help identifying the recipient of your referral.

We may use automated tools, including AI-assisted tools, to support responses, scheduling, routing, transcription, summaries and quality review. Such processing is subject to the purposes, safeguards and consent requirements described in this policy.

Where calls are recorded or transcribed, we provide appropriate notice and obtain consent where required. You can ask about available alternatives or request assistance from a person.

Our website may use cookies, pixels, local storage and similar technologies for site operation, remembering preferences, understanding traffic and measuring advertising. These tools may involve service providers receiving device, browsing or interaction information.

You can manage cookies through your browser. Blocking some technologies may affect site features.
